Circa: 1940's Manufacturer: Stangl Pottery
Vintage Stangl Pottery sandwich tidbit tray. c.1940's-60's. No chips or cracks and is 10 inches wide. Marked on bottom: Stangl Pottery Orchid Song, Dura-Fired. This mark is shown on pg. 209 of the 1988 Lehner's Book of Marks, mark 17. Stangl Pottery was in business from 1814-1978, so anything they made is quite collectible! (This very same plate is shown on pg. 67 of the 1994 book titled: Kitchen Collectibles by Diane Stoneback!)(see Dec. 2006 issue of Antiq. Roadshow mag; a stangl rooster sold for $7,000 at auction!) |
