Vintage American limoges platter. c.1936-1950. Very attractive semi-vitreous platter with backstamp: American Limoges Made in USA, La Marr K-s542, Warranted 22 K. Gold. No chips or cracks and is 13.75 long x 10.25 wide and is much prettier than the pictures are showing it. Made by the Limoges China Co, Sebring, Ohio, in business from 1900-1955. The backstamp is shown in Kovels book of marks. Barely any wear on this platter. The pattern might be: American Rose. You can serve your guests snacks or h'orderves at your next party! Or, put your favorite treat on it, wrap in cellophane, add a bow, and it's a fabulous hostess or housewaming gift! The replacement value is $69.95. |
