Awesome vintage porcelain pipe. Porcelain bowl with a bone? bit, and wood stem. This is likely German. The porcelain bowl appears to be hand painted and features 2 horses, 2 colonial dressed gents, and one farmer in a landscape setting. The bowl has a very tight hairline that you need a magnifier to see. Otherwise, it is in good overall vintage display condition. The lid on the bowl appears to be silver plate with a brass finish, the brass finish is wearing off. The interior of bowl is clean, so this pipe was not used. In the tobacciana books, just the porcelain bowls sell for over $775!. The pipe is 13 inches long. A unique antique pipe for any tobacciana collection! |
