Vintage Monmouth Art Pottery herb jar. c:1941. Awesome old herb jar; well made; thick, heavy duty. Stands 6.5 tall; no chips or cracks. Not marked, but is clearly identifiable on the Monmouth book by J. Martin, 1983 edition, pg. 141. Buff color clay; some dirt on interior. Great to display or use for herbs or sedums indoors or out! You can't buy good pottery like this today. A new item from a garden store will cost a bit less, but won't last a summer. This has been around for 83 years and still looks great! I also have this item in the matte green, which likely dates to the 1920's. 12/09ant#2748 |
