Antique English revolving butter cooler. Unique item. Brushed metal with revolving lid, the metal looks like pewter, and there is a glass insert. The glass insert has no dips in it for a cigarette which is why I think it must be a butter cooler and not an ash receiver. It has 3 legs with claw and ball feet. Incised, 'Made in England' mark on bottom, and it is 5.5 tall x 5. wide. You also get 6 crystal or flint glass coasters marked: 'France' on them which were purchased separately. 1/10rocs |
