Vintage USA Pottery pasta bowl. This bowl is being sold as a collectible display item and not for food use since I did not make and I don't know what it was made with. It could be used for faux fruit in a table centerpiece or as a birdbath. Incised mark: Oven Proof USA. Nice turquoise blue bands. Despite being a vintage bowl, the coloring makes it look contemporary. The mark on this bowl is not shown in the Watt book, however, I do have a matching large mixing bowl that does have the common Watt mark on it, so I do believe this is a Watt Pottery item. The mark on this bowl might be one of the last marks they used before they went out of business in 1965. No chips or cracks. It might also be a McCoy or Brush McCoy bowl as I think they also used the 'Oven Proof' mark. Age est: 1950's. It is 13.75 wide x 3.25 tall. Even if not a Watt, it is still a nice vintage USA item and does match the other Watt bowl I have for sale. Minor age/wear. 7/7estcs |
