Manufacturer: Camark Pottery Co.
Three vintage aqua pottery small vases for one price. The first one is a Camark; see 2nd picture. It is shown in the book and is marked: 264 USA. It is 4 inches tall. The basket vase is a Shawnee shown on pg. 43 of J. Mangus' book and marked USA. It is 3 inches tall x 3.5 wide. Last is the Boys Town Pottery shoe. It is 5.25 long. Boys Town pottery was made from 1948 to 1993. This particular shoe is said to be shown on pg. 193 of the 1999 book by J. Rans titled: Coll's Ency. of Muncie Pottery, (the book does not provide a date for when it was made). However, because of the glaze, weight, etc., I do believe this shoe is from the 1940's, early 50's. Boys Town was formed in 1917 for orphaned and wayward boys in Omaha, Nebraska. Spencer Tracey won an academy award for his portrayal of Father Flannigan the Irish Catholic Priest who founded the home. No chips or cracks on any of them. These smaller USA pottery items are great to collect if you don't have a lot of space. 7/13vs |
