Circa: 1869 Manufacturer: Maddock's Lamberton Works
Antique chamber pot with dahlia design. Very lovely and heavy chamber pot. Backstamp dates to 1869-1929. Backstamp: Maddock's Lamberton Works, Royal Porcelain; M over a circle. The company was located in Trenton, N.J. No chips or cracks. Minor age flaws: sme wear off the gold trim and flowers as expected; also an underglaze line on the interior of pot; it's not a scratch or hairline; it looks like stray gold paint but it's under the glaze. And, there is some crazing which is not noticeable unless looking at it up close. This pot is 8.5 wide x almost 6 tall without lid on; with lid on it is 9 inches tall. These can be used just as décor on a shelf or vanity, or as a unique planter! 2/16au#
