Gorgeous artist initialed vintage Weller Pottery console vase. Graceful matte finish vase in the 'Gloria' pattern. Has blackberries in relief, and is pictured in Huxford's book. Incised mark in script, 'Weller Pottery since 1872', with an 'R' in black which is the signature mark of Ruth Axline, an artist at Weller Pottery Co. Very good condition on this graceful bowl, no chips or cracks, and it is approx. 3.5 high x 7.5 wide. The book lists most of the artists who worked at Weller, and the signatures are shown in the book. The signatures are also shown in Lehner's Book of Marks. Collector quality and guaranteed authentic vintage Weller Pottery! 11/02rocs
Brush McCoy Pottery planter. Incised USA mark, #F567, and is pictured in Sanford's 1992 book. Brush-McCoy in existence from 1911-1982. Measures approx. 6 x 4 inches. It has dry feet and is in good condition, with some small mineral deposits on interior of pot.
Vintage Dugan Carnival glass vase. This vase is pictured in Edwards book on carnival glass. Marigold on top to near clear on the bottom, and has 8 ribs just as described in the book. Some very tiny scratches on bottom and sides, not noticeable unless really trying hard to see them. It is an old one, not contemporary; has some bubbles in the glass, and is 10.5 inches tall. Good overall 'vintage' condition. estcs
McCoy Floraline planter/vase, in the matte olive green. Good vintage condition but for one tiny flaked off fleabite on the top rim on one side of this planter. However, if you're just displaying it, it won't show from the other side. The fleabite is not like a chip or gouge, it is just a flake of green glaze that is missing. This planter does not appear to have ever been used. It has an incised mark #521 FLORALINE USA on the bottom.
niloak pottery
Vintage Niloak Pottery cornocopia vase. c.1930-1940's. Very nice heavy vase with impressed NILOAK mark on the bottom, and a dry bottom rim. It measures about 7 high x 7 wide. No cracks or chips. Arts & Crafts style, Lewis glaze that is a matte tan color with faint green. Niloak Pottery Co. was only in business from 1910-1947, and this item is shown in the Niloak book by D. Gifford.
Vintage Robinson Ransbottom planter. Cute aqua glazed pot with faint crazing, but no chips or cracks. Bottom has a dry rim, and is marked R.R.P.C.O. Roseville O. U.S.A. Judging by the crazing and color this pot likely dates to the 1950's. If it wasn't marked RRP, you'd swear it was a McCoy! RRP is no longer in business.
Vintage stoneware jardiniere. This is a good sized jar, not marked ZSC, but I am very confident it is ZSC since the books show the same pattern on a different shaped jard, see pg. 255, J. Rans book. This is a heavy duty jard. It measures 7.5 across x 6 high, and has some minor pin size glaze pops, typical of Zanesville, but no chips or cracks. Beautiful, durable, functional, decorative pottery. I also have this same jard in the white color listed separately. These look great indoors or out; put a big fern or orchid in it! Great vintage American pottery that will last a few lifetimes! Email me your zip code prior to ordering if you want a more accurate ship quote.
S. G. Healy art pottery lizard vase. This is a superb piece of art pottery portraying a very realistic aqua/green chamelion crouched around the pot. Please enlarge the picture. This vase/planter is signed S.G. Healy on the bottom. No chips or cracks on this wonderful piece.
Vintage vase planter. Smooth tan/light rust/carmel color, measuring 6.5 across x about 4 tall, with 4 unglazed feet. Not marked, but looks like it could be Brush-McCoy or Camark Pottery or some other similar pottery. No chips or cracks, but there is one small rub/wear mark where the glaze missed on the rim which is so small it is hard to photograph.
Vintage USA bud vase. Likely Shawnee; marked #676 USA on bottom. Dry rim, white clay, measures about 6 high x 2 wide. Heavy for its size. No chips or cracks, just one small uneven brush mark on vase, solid color glazes are the hardest to get even, at least that's what all the books say.
Vintage Robinson Ransbottom vase. c.1940's. RRP is no longer in business. Aqua gloss, and as the book calls it a 'deer insert vase'. Shown in the RRP Roseville book. It has a dry bottom rim and measures about 5.5 wide x 7.75 high. No cracks, one teeny-tiny glaze miss on the interior upper rim, and one glaze miss off bottom rim.
Vintage mama and papa san shakers. Paper label on bottom says, Japan. Faint crazing, no chips or cracks. These are the OLD ones, they have the cork stoppers, not glass or plastic. They are shown in one of the books on vintage shakers. c:pre WW2
Ellen Bailey art pottery stoneware vase. (signed). This collectible vase was purchased at the Ann Arbor Art Fair around 1980. Incised mark on the bottom signed: Ellen Bailey, and is mostly tan, with some dark brown and black. Looks like a sand dollar motif as well as other designs. The holes are there by design, no chips or cracks on this beauty. It stands almost 6 tall x 5 wide. Around 34 years old, how time flies! A lovely piece of semi-vintage but collectible art pottery.
Gorgeous vintage cornocopia vase. It is 8.5 x 8.5 inch ivory colored vase with gold trim and pink, blue and yellow flowers, mint green leaves, and a soft yellow bottom. It has all-over faint crazing, and no chips or cracks. Unfortunately it is not marked so I do not know who made it. It is a beauty and I am confident it is American made. brcs
Fabulous pair of Ardalt porcelain figurines. c:mid 20th C. These are really stunning figurines. The bottom sticker reads, Ardalt, Lenwile China, Japan. There is also a number in red under-glaze ink on both figurines, #7712. The mark was located on a website called: Gotheborg; a site specializing in Japanese & Chinese porcelain marks. These two are exquisitely detailed from their heads to their toes. The female has one flaw, the hand that is facing behind her is missing part of the thumb, otherwise, they are in good vintage condition, with no other chips or cracks, just some dust. The bottom has a well-worn dry rim. You will not find better details on any other pieces of porcelein figurines except on a Meissen piece. They stand about 9 high x about 2 wide. The colors are soft blue, faint green, and ivory, reminiscent of Lladro pieces, but they make Lladro look laughable. According to Gotheborg site; Ardalt Inc. Corp. was in N.Y., and 'Ardalt Lenwile' was a registered name in 1945; so Ardalt is a N.Y. Co. that must have had factories in Japan, Germany and Italy.
Frankoma Pottery vase. Soft peach colored Frankoma vase, with incised mark, F-29 Frankoma on bottom. It has a dry rim exposing red clay. Measures 5 high x 5.5 across. Good condition, no chips or cracks. A very unique piece to add to your Frankoma collection.
Vintage Sharon Cabbage Rose depression glass vegetable bowl. c.1935-1939. (amber). Manufactured by the Federal Glass Co. and is 9.5 x 7 inch wide. See Warmans Depression Glass book, 2nd Edit, pg. 227-228. No chips or cracks, but does have some wear on the outside lower rim area; and a few itty-bitty scratches; these were pre-owned and used after all, but not noticeable unless really looking for them.
Sadler English porcelain teapot. A fine gift for the teapot collector! It is marked Sadler, Made in England with a crown in blue ink under-glaze on the bottom. It also has what appears to be an artist's mark, (JE), as well as the number #1639 JE, as well as what appears to be an A in black. The pattern is of an oriental nature, 'Famille Rose'? It features a tree with pink roses and gold trim. It is a very charming teapot in good vintage condition, and you can't beat this price. The mark is shown in the Kovel's.
Exceptional vintage glass toothpick holder. Scrolled design and gold overlay, it might be what is called 'gold flash' color. It is not marked or signed so the maker is unknown. Because it seems to be rather unique, it would make a great addition to your collection, (have not located this one in any book). It stands only 2 high x about 1.5 wide, therefore, it is smaller than newer toothpicks.
Boyd Glass Old Sleepy Eye slag toothpick. c.1978-1983, Boyd Glass Co. Lovely little green slag footed glass toothpick holder with the phrase, Old Sleepy Eye on the top with a picture of an Indian and an arrowhead on it. It has the Boyd Glass Co. mark on the bottom that was used during the time period referenced above, and is in good condition with no chips or cracks. This is a very nice piece to add to your toothpick collection, or it would make a nice affordable gift! (Slag glass is milk glass with other colors mixed in)
